Inclusion is a choice, but belonging is a feeling, and anything that’s a feeling is really hard for organisations to manage. But it’s so fundamentally important, and requires a change in how a business is run and lead. If more organisations thought about belonging, not only would it help attract and retain those more diverse candidates, it could also address the fact that up to 50% of women who choose a career in tech leave it before the age of 35.
