Rise of the AI
The rise of AI in the last few years has been as unstoppable as the robots portrayed in Sci-Fi films. In 2016, the term AI did not feature in the top 100 search terms on Gartner. Incredibly by May 2017, AI ranked at Number 7. Gartner predict that by 2020, AI technologies will be virtually pervasive in almost every new software product and service.
We’ll be exploring AI themes including Alan Turing and Enigma, through to Watson and game shows, and how Sci-Fi is becoming a reality.
Our guest speakers will also be presenting examples of AI, where it’s worked well and when it hasn’t. From life-saving upgrades the downright frightening. We’ll be presenting these examples from a business and, sometimes, personal perspective and how the world of AI can both help and hinder our day-to-day existence.
