Derek Hynes – Operations Manager, ESB Networks
Derek Hynes has worked for ESB for 17 years, now responsible for the safe operation of the electricity network and for the national distribution control centre and associated operational technology. Derek is a member of the National Emergency Co-Ordination Group (the Irish equivalent of FEMA) and sits on the government task force for emergency planning. Hynes is heavily involved in the delivery of the ESB Networks innovation strategy, which places operational technology as the key enabler in increasing the capacity and reliability of the electricity network in Ireland. He has recently been recognized by Oracle with an award for leadership in industry transformation for the implementation of a new operations management system that is part of an integrated distribution management system linking the real-time condition of the network to a smart phone app in a customer’s hand.
Brad Williams, VP Industry Strategy, Oracle Utilities
Bradley Williams is vice president of Oracle Utilities product management, and is responsible for outage management, distribution management, mobile workforce management, work and asset management, and load analysis utility applications and smart grid strategy. Williams has more than 24 years of utility technology innovation experience.
Martin Dunlea, Strategy Director, Oracle Utilities
Martin Dunlea is the Strategy Director in the Utilities Industry Business Unit Division of Oracle, with responsibility for formulating and leading strategic, technical and functional sales activity and enhancing the reputation of Oracle’s utility solutions and products across all functional areas. Martin has more than 20 years international business experience in IT and the utility industry.
